My Mission for 2025:
Since 2008, I’ve carried the weight of representing myself, every exhibition, every negotiation, every late night email. It was a necessary part of the journey, but not the part that truly fed my spirit. Now, at 50, I feel an undeniable pull toward simplicity, a desire to focus solely on the act of painting, the canvas, the colors, and the quiet, intimate dialogue between my soul and the brush. At this stage, I’m seeking collaboration with equally talented and motivated individuals who share my passion for bringing art to life. I’m drawn to those who thrive on connecting creativity with the world, who make it their mission to facilitate fantastic art and share it with broad, diverse audiences. It’s no longer about carrying the load alone but about finding partners who value the work as deeply as I do, ensuring it reaches far beyond the walls of my studio.
The Shift
In 2024, I set out to develop a new strategy, one centered on managing shipping and handling, an aspect of my work I had overlooked. For years, I allowed my creativity to flow freely, making whatever I felt compelled to create, without giving much thought to the practicalities of getting my pieces into the hands of those far away. My focus was always on the act of creation itself, the pure joy of bringing an idea to life on whatever surface was within reach.
1 - Stretched Canvas
Each hand painted on gallery-wrapped stretched canvas, offering a polished and professional finish. Built on lightweight stretcher bars, these pieces are not only visually striking but also incredibly practical. Their construction ensures they can be packaged securely and shipped anywhere in the world with minimal effort. This efficiency keeps shipping costs low, making it easier than ever for collectors across the globe to own and enjoy them.
2 - Unframed Plywood
Each of these paintings is hand-painted on plywood, combining raw, organic charm with a contemporary edge. The sturdy yet lightweight material makes packaging and shipping effortless, ensuring these pieces can travel seamlessly to collectors anywhere in the world. The natural finish of the plywood offers exciting opportunities for customization, allowing collectors the freedom to frame and display the piece in a way that best complements their personal style and space.
3 - Heavy Duty Paper
These are hand-painted on heavy-duty paper, offering a robust yet flexible element to each piece. Shipped rolled up in a tube, they arrive ready to be matted, mounted, and framed, transforming them into stunning visual displays. This format is highly practical: multiple pieces can be shipped easily and at very low cost, making it simple for collectors to acquire several works at once without the hassle of high shipping fees.
